                           MS DHONI

Former Indian captain MS.DHONI has achieved success in his cricketing career as a captain and as a player .If we talk about his journey it is quite motivational for us .He won many awards and trophies and he also known as "Captain cool" for his calmness on field or off field. He was born in Ranchi on 7 July 1981,he started playing cricket from school level .After completing Education ,he got a job in Railways as a ticket collector.

Initial Struggle

 During their job, he has played for railway's cricket team .In that time he played domestic cricket as well .Almost after an year he felt that "government job is not for him" meanwhile, he was struggling between job and cricket, so he quit his Government job and decided to fully focused on cricket

Debut

He made his  International  debut in 2004 against Bangladesh .However he failed to score in initial innings, but captain Ganguly showed trust on DHONI and gave him another opportunity. He Took the advantage of opportunity and he registered his first century against Pakistan in 2005. From here he never look prior and reserved his place in team as a wicket-keeper batsman.

First time as a captain

In  world cup 2007, when India got out from tournament. many people trolled team India, burned out players poster's on road and broke down their own T:V After this incident senior players like, Sachin, Ganguly and Dravid decided that "we are not playing in upcoming T20 World Cup". Thus BCCI sent a young team to play T20 World Cup under new captain "MS.DHONI" besides Sachin suggested DHONI's name for captaincy.

 This T20 world cup was held in South Africa and India came up with youngsters however they have great chance to perform in this short format. Eventually India conquered the World Cup after beating the Pakistan in final

He has received many awards such as; Padma Bhushan, Padma Shri, Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna and ICC ODI Player of the year in 2008 and 2009

World Cup 2011

 India was host in this World Cup and India had a chance to win World Cup in home. India had a balance team squad with seniors and few youngsters under the captaincy of DHONI. In final India fought with Sri lanka and was chasing the target 275. In order to chase the target India had lost early wickets, after this situation MS.DHONI promoted himself in batting order and built significant partnership with Gautam Gambhir. Finally DHONI finished match with huge six which is still a memorable six for Indian Cricket

Champions Trophy 2013

In 2013 ICC organized Champions Trophy in England. India took participate in tournament under the captaincy of MS DHONI, again India won the final by defeating England. Shikhar Dhawan was top scorer and man of the series of the event, he had played very important role in winning Champions Trophy

IPL Trophies

Indian Premier League (IPL), MS DHONI is still leading Chennai Super Kings(CSK) in IPL and he has been playing for same franchise since 2008. he has won three IPL trophies in 2010, 2011 and 2018 ,CSK is known as a strongest team in IPL. Team has many records such as; most appearance in IPL finals, qualified 10 times in playoffs and maximum win percentage (59%) among the eight teams. Because of fans of DHONI, he also named as "THALA", which means leader in Tamil

Retirement

DHONI has been led Indian cricket team overall in 331 International matches in which 199 ODI, 72 T20, 60 test matches and his wining rate was 53% which is more than 50%. He had announced his retirement from test matches on 30 December 2014 and last year he taken his retirement from limited overs on 15 August 2020, after playing the World Cup 2019.Now he is available only for IPL.
